Job description, responsibilities and duties
Responsibilities:
● Product Design: Have a strong sense of user needs and mental models. Translate that understanding into design leadership for the team, and outline features that deliver value in all aspects of the user experience. Take a user-centered approach in concepting and crafting design solutions that meet both user needs and product strategy requirements
● User Interface: Design all UI components and systems need to grow and scale a small business. Collaborate with with front-end developers to provide leadership on execution of your designs and insure a quality work finds it's way into production.Work with Product Owners to rapidly prototype and iterate on multiple design solutions
● Visual Design: Design the site brand and design style guides. A high degree of Visual Design proficiency is required. Create final visual designs, storyboards, interaction flows, and interface guidelines
● Collaboration: Work across teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders on the Product, Marketing, and Development teams
○ Create final visual designs, storyboards, prototypes, interaction flows, and interface guidelines
○ Take a user-centered approach in concepting and crafting design solutions that meet both user needs and product strategy requirements
○ The ability to translate data and metrics into UI dashboards, charts, and graphs
○ Work with Product Owners to rapidly prototype and iterate on multiple design solutions
○ Review final implementation with Front-end Developers to insure design standards are followed
○ Work across teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders on the Product, Marketing, and Development teams
○ Provide inspiration and constructive feedback to other Designers
● Conversion and A/B Testing: Design, measure and improve multi-channel conversion experiences through rigorous A/B testing (eg. organic search, direct response email, affiliate widgets, banners, etc)

● 3+ years of consumer facing, visual / interaction design experience
● Proven ability to be attentive to detail and able to identify gaps and friction points that contribute to a poor user experience (cross-browser issues, cross-platform issues)
● Proficient skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, and InDesign); Sketch App
● Ability to craft creative solutions for a range of personas that directly impact customer loyalty
Preferred Qualifications:
● Familiar and comfortable with the Agile development process and its working principles
● eCommerce experience
● Familiarity of HTML/CSS (coding not required, but a basic understanding is helpful)
● Previous experience with rapid prototyping tools like UXPin, Invision, or Divshot
