3 750 EUR/monthFor this position, a gross annual salary of EUR 45,000 is envisaged. In addition, we offer an overpayment in line with the market, depending on qualifications and experience.

Tasks:

STRABAG is currently looking to recruit a specialist in binder procurement/binder trading/new binders for the production of concrete, working in our core markets of Germany, Austria, Poland, Czechia and Hungary as well as other countries in the South-East region As the role has a strong international focus, various office locations such as Bratislava in Slowakia, Prag in Czech Republic, Budapest in Hungary, Wien in Austria etc. are possible and there will also be opportunities to travel and work from home.

  • Assisting the two main concrete divisions with binder purchasing (cement, fly ash, GGBS etc.)
  • Testing, evaluating and implementing new binder systems such as geopolymers/alkali-activated binders
  • Developing our own logistics for binders from the source to the concrete production plant
  • Development, formulation and implementation of strategic goals
  • Data collection, economic efficiency calculations, etc. in preparation for decisions by the executive board
  • Systematic market surveillance
  • Ensuring the economic and technical realisation of our own projects
  • Close communication with the concrete divisions, ensuring satisfaction by providing the best possible technical solution and the highest possible quality
  • Developing and optimising processes, including in terms of technical developments, their digitalisation and risk minimisation
  • Operational planning and preparation of the forecast, operational controlling of business activities, monthly reporting
  • Participation in the monthly and annual financial statements as well as annual and quarterly planning
  • Representation at trade association institutions, standardisation bodies and other committees

Requirements:

  • A university degree, e.g. as an industrial engineer or comparable, possibly with additional qualifications
  • Several years of professional experience in the binder industry, preferably with experience in logistics
  • Market experience in cement/fly ash/GGBS/concrete/raw materials
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and behaviour
  • Good motivation, communication and conflict management skills
  • Creative skills, negotiating skills and a confident manner
  • Independent and dedicated approach to work, high degree of commitment
  • Team player, flexibility, reliability and customer-orientated approach
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Slowak or Czech language on a communicative Level,
  • Hungarian, Polish, Romanian, Bulgarian, Croatian are welcome, but not a prerequisite,
  • Willingness to travel a lot
