Senior SAP ABAP Developer

The Senior SAP ABAP Developer reports to the Manager, SAP Development and Integration. This individual provides development support for production issues, change requests RICEF development and projects. The Ideal candidate will be a key technical contributor and advisor to senior leaders, operating groups, technical staff, project management, and interface with several Global functional leads.


List of key responsibilities:
• Works on SAP ABAP RICEF (Reports, Interface, Conversion, Enhancements, Forms) development.
• Follows SPXFlow development and quality standards and processes.
• Develop fool-proof and high quality custom SAP code.
• Translate functional requirements into technical design, work on technical development and create technical documentation.
• Familiar with code inspector tool.
• Performs unit and integration testing of development objects.
• Prioritize own tasks to ensure optimum utilization and fast turnaround on development requests.
• Provide status update to team lead and manager(s).
• Engage in continuous learning and self-improvement efforts.
• Able to multi-task and work extended hours/weekend when needed.

• Ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Well versed with architecture and functionality of SAP NetWeaver and other related SAP products/solutions.


Preferred Education / Experience:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Applications or Information Systems.
• 5 years of demonstrated mastery of design, development and implementation of SAP technical development and integration solutions.
• 3-5 years of experience of working as a part of offshore ABAP development team(s).
• 3-5 years of experience supporting SAP customers based in Europe and North America.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good understanding of quality tools and processes, code inspector, performance tuning and ABAP 7.4/7.5 language features.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience of developing solutions for SAP functional areas of SD, MM, PS, PP, FI & CO.
• Hands on experience with development of SAPScript, SmartForms, ALV reports, Workflow, Interfaces, LSMW, Enhancements and other ABAP developments.
• Knowledge and experience of implementing SAP integration solutions using IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs and other 3rd party integration solutions. Experience with implementing SAP integration scenarios using .Net Connector and WebMethods will be a PLUS.
