Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Service Desk represents IT to our business partners and as such, analysts must provide exemplary customer service. To join our team, a successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to explain how to resolve issues to employees, document solutions to be shared with other analysts, and the ability to collaborate with other IT employees and vendors. This role involves working onsite to assist users in solving incidents, requests and problems related to hardware, software, networks, and peripherals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical assistance via phone, email, ticket system, video conference, or in person.
• Efficiently diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, printer, email, internet, VPN, and local-area network access problems.
• Install, configure, and set up PCs.
• Research solutions using all available resources and escalate major incidents as they occur.
• Provide instructions to users based on Standard Operating Procedures and document resolutions within ticketing system.
• Follow up with end users on ticket status, monitor call volumes and prioritize responses, and assist with employee onboarding and offboarding.
• Stay up to date with technology changes and follow ITIL best practices.

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Educational Specialization

Information Systems or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

Ability to showcase excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments including the ability to plan, implement, test, and troubleshoot system software and hardware.
Ability to be a self starter with the ability to work well in a team and interact effectively with others while resolving technical issues for a wide range of IT applications and services
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or minimum five (5) years of related experience
ITIL Foundations certification
Proven proficiency with Office 365, Mobile devices, Wireless Technology, Microsoft Intune, Polycom and Video Conferencing solutions (Zoom), Microsoft Windows 10/11.
Knowledge of Windows Server operating systems including Microsoft Active Directory with understanding of Microsoft networks, Web Browsers, Microsoft Office Professional Software Suite, and Enterprise Anti-virus software.
Avaya phone systems, Intune and ABM, ServiceNow, and working in the entertainment industry is an asset
Experience providing customer service in a busy IT environment while developing business relationships, communicate effectively and professionally with the user community.
Demonstrated ability to provide white-glove treatment to the C-suite.
Experience with the following is an asset:
Working with Macs.
Remote management tools such as ConnectWise or Addigy
