Job Purpose

Support in logistics planning on deadlines and service level agreements. Direct communications with Sony’s Logistics Service providers (3PL’s) for quick action and feedback.

Support the logistics platform in the continuous transformation on the way to one aligned operation.

Support the logistics platform in the continuous transformation on the way to one aligned operation working in the same way and with the same targets with strong accent on Cost-to-Serve approach.

- Cost monitoring of specific warehouse and all transport activities and analysis
- Communication with Business needs and coordination of services within agreed SLA – various Business groups
- Active role in new projects support related to German distribution and improvement initiatives

Key Responsibilities & Scope for Decision Making

Operational monitoring and management of DC service warehouse & transport level performance covering the following processes :

• Outbound flows
• Transport flows
• Inbound flows, monitor and report all AQTIONS
• Transport cost control and validation
• Warehouse cost control and validation
• Monitoring and support of ex-factory flow to all EU warehouses
• Pallet returns control and other logistics flows governance

Cost efficiency reporting and support for Cost Controller

Cost-to-serve activities – active involvement

• Analysis of different accounts and their requirements vs logistics service and related cost

Qualifications & Experience

• Process experience of at least 3 years as logistics officer, specialist or comparable position.
• University degree in business and administration, commerce or logistics.
• Previous experience in similar function in retail logistics or distribution logistics for multi-country supply chain operation is a must.
• Experience with new projects and lean/improvement activities and management is a big advantage
• Experience in logistics and/or supply chain min. 5 year
• A high degree of flexibility regarding travelling commitments within the region.
• Strong team player and good communicator.
• English and is a must, German is an advantage
• Good computer skills required, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.
• Very strong project management and improvement focus.
