Job Purpose

The purpose of the role is to support Sony Europe Logistics with various tasks with a standardized approach and contribute to achievements of Logistics platform of Europe – especially all logistics related task of Nitra Distribution Center

Respond to incoming requirements of local/country Sales Support teams, securing timely feed back on requests. Support in logistics planning with a close eye on deadlines and service level agreements. Direct communications with Sony’s Logistics Service providers (3PL’s) for quick action and feedback. The position owner will be part of a larger platform and will participate in the execution of defined logistics procedures and processes within agreed service levels.

Support the logistics platform in the continuous transformation on the way to one aligned operation working in the same way and with the same targets.

- Operational coordination and Service Level monitor of Distribution Center operation
- Cost monitoring of specific warehouse and all transport activities
- Close communication with Business needs and coordination of services within agreed SLA – mainly German customers
- Support in Transport cost accruals
- Active role in new projects support related to German distribution

Key Responsibilities & Scope for Decision Making

Operational day to day monitoring and management of DC service warehouse & transport level performance covering the following processes :

• Outbound flows, make sure that all deliveries released to the warehouse are loaded and shipped as per agreed Service level
• Transport flows - carrier day to day handling keeping final End-to-end lead-time as one of the most fundamental performance KPI
• Inbound flows, monitor and report all "AQTIONS" reports – claims for any damages, missings and follow up (insurers, carrier etc.)
• Transport cost control and validation
• Pallet returns control and flow governance

Cost efficiency reporting and support for Cost Controller

• Invoice matching and explanation of potential disputes

Cost-to-serve activities – active involvement

• Analysis of different accounts and their requirements vs logistics service and related cost

Qualifications & Experience

• Process experience of at least one year as logistics officer or comparable position.
• University degree in business and administration, commerce or logistics.
• Previous experience in similar function in retail logistics or distribution logistics is a big advantage
• Experience in logistics and/or supply chain min. 2 years
• A high degree of flexibility regarding travelling commitments within the region.
• Strong team player and good communicator.
• English and German is a must.
• Good computer skills required, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.
• Very strong customer focus required.
