Job Purpose
In close cooperation with the Sales organisations and the Brand Activation team and with functional guidance of Regional Product Marketing, the Local DI & Accessory Product Manager is responsible for co-developing and implementing within European and Local Group manager guidelines a successful sales and marketing strategy for the Sony product groups and services .
The Product Manager - is responsible for own responsible category business from introduction to life-end.it includes business planning, forecasting and promotional activities. Also it is necessary to follow the associated budgets with a view to maximizing sales and profit.

Key Responsibilities & Scope for Decision Making
1, Product category management/Business planning
  • Development of marketing strategies and concepts for the product category
  • Budget process management and planning including input.
  • Responsibility for price setting, net sales and Marginal Profit by following budget planning
  • Preparation and presentation of national and international internal and external meetings
  • Analysing market & competition
  • Managing channel and Sony inventory based on targets
  • Development of channel strategy and its implementation
  • Define model mix and product strategy for planning
  • Preparation of monthly report (FCST vs . Actuals vs . Budget, FCST, quarter commit)
  • Planning of Promotion and sell-through activities
  • Interface to internal peers like Brand Activation & Supply chain
2, Seihan Operations
  • Forecast planning based on market analysis, account wise sell-out and sell-in analysis as well as activity plans, in cooperation with colleagues within the team
  • Seihan preparation including dealer wise channel inventory analysis, ranging analysis and availability / allocation coordination with supply chain and SCSE region.
  • Manage monthly and weekly Seihan meetings, including schedule coordination
  • Replenishment tracking and setting for future planning
  • Account / Store Wise Allocation particularly for shortage models
  • Share availability information with Sales
  • Upload forecast into Korogashi tools
3, Other tasks
  • IFC and non-sellable stock warning and action planning & implementation
  • Product registration into the system with supply chain and sales support team
  • Sample Management
  • Creation of sales information like (price list, salesbook , newsletter , ...)

Qualifications & Experience

  • University Degree (Master level is preferred.)
  • Some years working experience in Consumer Electronics industry (*preferred)
  • Experience in business planning or marketing planning area
  • Strong passion towards Digital Imaging business and Photography
  • Willingness to learn and adapt into new ways of working
  • Deep understanding of the Czech and Slovak retailer/etailer landscape and business culture and nature
  • Career background in demand planning or marketing is preferred.
  • Capability to work under high pressure
  • Analytic skills on PDCA cycle
  • Result and customer-oriented (external and internal) approach, proactivity, reliability and loyalty
  • Team player, ability to work under pressure
  • Capability and flexibility to adapt yourself into fast moving business circumstances
  • Excellent knowledge and skills of MS-Office Excel and Powerpoint
