Job description, responsibilities and duties

As a Developer you will be involved in projects of international enterprise customers in Europe, implementing the cloud platform of ServiceNow. Our projects combine process consulting - based on ITIL - and tool implementation – according to SCRUM. You will be facing a highly challenging project environment with demanding customers and exceptional technical standard. As mentor of Junior ServiceNow Developers you will gain first leadership experience using your existing project management experience. Our Senior ServiceNow Developer will assist you through difficult situations with the customer as well as with technical problems.
As Developer you will be responsible for the following tasks:
• Independent realization of project streams for technical implementation of ServiceNow (e.g. Screen tailoring, Workflow administration, Report setup, LDAP integration, Interfaces to / integration of 3rd party IT systems, ServiceNow system setup, Configuration (forms, tables), Customization & tailoring (JavaScript), Integration development outside ServiceNow, Documentation of achieved results, Testing activities
• Independent coordination and alignment of technical work packages with customer’s as well as project team’s technical experts, in compliance with the scope of work
• Independent application of the „Start-Now“ method in ServiceNow projects
o Analysis, documentation and management of customer requirements using standardized methods of requirements engineering (discover, document, validate, manage)
o Preparation and execution of workshops with customer, e.g.
o Scoping workshops
o Gap-analysis workshops
o Sprint planning
o Sprint review
• Respond to complex and sophisticated “how-to” technical and ServiceNow configuration questions of the project team
• Support Solutions Architect with profound technical insight and expertise regarding the ServiceNow platform
• Technical consultancy for roll out of new ServiceNow applications and modules
• Manage troubleshooting patch & release management issues
• Coordinate support tasks for ServiceNow applications already being deployed during the project e.g. early life support
• Project Management
• Take over project management tasks for technical project streams
• Actively support a high level of coding quality in ServiceNow projects
• Independently ensure the know-how exchange between colleagues
