What Product Front End Developer does in SolarWinds:

* Works closely with the rest of the development team and implements web user interface for our products
* Writes quality code (mostly HTML, CSS, and JS) which becomes part of our products used by thousands of customers.
* Slices up Photoshop comps provided by the Design/UX teams into standards-compliant cross-browser-compatible HTML & CSS code
* Contributes to estimation and scoping of web features
* Troubleshoots CSS and JS issues on existing pages

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

What is required to succeed in this position:
* Commercial experience with web development
* Strong problem solving skills
* HTML 5 Frameworks (especially ExtJS and Sencha Touch)
* * Strong knowledge of HTML5
* * Experience with "Web 2.0" frameworks, e.g. AJAX
* JavaScript / CSS
* Expert-level XHTML experience (esp. cross-browser compatibility and degradation strategies)
* * Strong knowledge of Javascript and CSS.
* Application Development
* * At least basic knowledge of java programming language
* SQL / DB Interaction
** Basic knowledge of databases and DB schemas. Ability to write and understand basic SQL queries
* Communication Skills
* * Good at explaining multiple solutions to a problem and the advantages and disadvantages to each
* * Able to work well with others and speak up if something isn’t going as originally planned
* Acceptable spoken/written English. English is used on daily basis.
* BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

What would be helpful, but not required:
* Experience with Data API (SQL, XML, Web services, etc.)
* Knowledge of software UI design principles
* Experience with Agile development practices
