Windows Automation Developer (WMI, VBS, PowerShell, Batch…)

Job description:

Making significant contributions to the overall success of automation projects, whether the optimum solutions involve people, process or technology.
 
Responsibilities:                              

• Process Automation Requests to validate feasibility, benefits they would bring, if they can be deployed regionally or globally, their priority, their urgency, timelines required for the implementation, best implementation solution.
• Analyze incidents/problem/change tickets to proactively identify Automation Opportunities.
• Collect business and technical requirements and translating those requirements, statements, policies and standards into Automation Content.
• Candidate will be responsible for responding to issues and feedback, proposing and implementing action plan to implement amending changes.
• Analyze usage/impact metrics, and identify possible issues and room for improvement in a proactive way.
• Provide training (Business Experts, GOC teams,…).
• Peer review team members work to ensure quality and standards are followed
• Write technical documentation describing automation content developed
• Author automation content (scripts) based on business and technical requirements including testing and peer review team members developed scripts

Profile Requirements 

Technology knowledge desired:
 

• Good knowledge (administrator) on Windows platform and/or UNIX platform
• Development skills:
  
  • Scripting
    
    • Wintel – WMI, VBS, PowerShell, Batch scr
    • UX – Korn Shell, Python
    • JavaScript (advantage)
  • Regular expression
  • Database language (SQL)
• Virtual machine management (ESX servers)
• Specific knowledge/experience – Database, Backup, Network, Storage (at least one of them)
