Internal Audit and Risk expert

Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit and Risk management, the candidate’s primary role will be to support the Internal Audit function, satisfy its role in providing independent assurance that the company’s and DT Group’s risk management, governance and internal control processes are operating effectively.



• Support Internal Audit in providing the company and DT Group with a robust independent appraisal service, covering all aspects of operations.

• To deliver a wide reaching and challenging audit plan, build a strong knowledge of the organisation and a network of key personnel.

• Collect inputs from risk owners, prepare the quarterly risk reports. Communicate the risk report with the Executive management and Group’s risk management.

• Conduct audit testing in line with the approved internal audit plan.

• Perform all work undertaken in line with the department’s methodology to ensure that the service provided represents best practice in accordance with appropriate Internal Audit standards.

• Provide concise and high quality reports summarising as necessary the findings arising from audit work. Also demonstrating good time management in managing audit work and in the reporting of audit status and performance against agreed plans.

• Identify, assess and audit risks in shaping audit plans and report findings.

• Make recommendations on the systems and processes being reviewed, report on the findings and recommendations and monitor management's response and implementation.

• Keep abreast of changes in regulations, legislation and good practice within the Internal Audit field, and to disseminate this information as appropriate within the business.

• Maintain an up to date knowledge of the company, business and service developments and disseminate this to staff as appropriate.

• Undertake other duties commensurate with the position as may be requested from time to time.
