Body design developer

Are you a technical university graduate or secondary technical school leaver? Do you have a good command of German or English? Are you interested in technologies, ideally in automotive development, or have work experience in body development? And do you want to develop your career with a successful brand?

• Organise launches of new parts/components, from the concept stage to the point of smooth transition to series production.
• Design technological solutions, materials and technologies.
• Supervise part/component development schedules.
• Use your creativity and look for new, innovative solutions.
• Be part of the team to produce the first batches of parts, optimise them and modify them in the early stages of each project.
• Communicate in English or German (both verbal and written) on an everyday basis.
• Cooperate with other departments at ŠKODA, as well as across the VW Group.
• The results of your work will be visible in each vehicle we produce.

• University degree in the area of expertise concerned (technologies, mechanical engineering); or
• Secondary school leaving certificate in the same areas + at least 3 years´ experience in development.
• Good command of German or English, plus Czech (at least A2)
• Ability to address problems proactively.
• Project management experience.
• Class B driving licence.
• Preparedness to travel, time flexibility.
• Basic knowledge of pressing and welding processes, materials, component surface finishing.
• Dimensioning principles.
• CAD basics.
• Persuasive style of presentation.
• Team player.

• Training in the use of modern CAD systems (Catia 5).
• Possibility to attend various training courses (including language ones).
