Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for a software architect for a new industry automation platform for the following tasks:
•Drive and guide the specification and implementation of specific components of the architecture
•Ensure the architecture vision of SW over all its domain and technical aspects and ensure this vision's sustainability and integrity over the product's entire lifetime
•Clarification and sharpening of the intended business with the software and its associated requirements
•Lead, guide, coach and motivate the developers in his team over the entire lifetime of a project to enable, support, and enforce an appropriate implementation, quality assurance, test, maintenance, and evolution of the software architectures he designed, even in the face of challenging, changing, and evolving business cases, requirements, realization technologies, and other forces e.g. strategic changes approaching the project
•Close collaboration with all roles of the PLM (Product Manager, Project Manager, other System & Software Architects, Developers and Test Managers).

University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Knowledge / Experience / Capabilities

•Experience with Microsoft Visual C++ programming
•Experience with design implementation, integration and test of client - server applications
•Experience with SW product development
•Experience with Object oriented design techniques and modeling using UML
•Experience with design patterns
•Profound knowledge of Microsoft operating systems
•Knowledge of the Siemens industry product desirable
•Ability to work well within a team environment and interact well with other teams
•Experience working in intercultural teams
•Ability to prioritize work and perform well to very tight schedules
•Good analytic skills
•Experience in code review and design reviews is desirable
•Strong quality and result orientation
•Good written and verbal communication skills
•Good command of English and/or German


Software-Tools

•Microsoft Visual Studio 2010/2012
• Enterprise Architect desirable
• Microsoft Team Foundation Server desirable

The job will require regular traveling to near shore locations.
