Provides the necessary Buyer skills to support the purchasing department and the plants in achieving optimal levels of safety, quality, productivity and delivery to assure internal and external customer. Obtains materials from suplliers at the lowest cost consistent of quality, realiability of source and urgency of need.

Main responsibility:

Support the Company´s mission, vision, values and goals in performance of daily activities.
Provides key input the development of departmental strategic goals along with identifying key measurable.
Responsible for purchasing items in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Responsible for preparing request for quotations (RFQ´s) based on projections for combined plant quantity and material requirements.
Evaluate, purchase and expedite materials for our facilities at a competitive cost.
Must be knowledgeable of maketplace cost drivers.
Close interaction with corporate and plant personnel is required.
Develop strong knowledge of the OEM equipment marketplace as well as plant operations.
Utilize purchasing terminology (or be comfortable learning it).
Utilize Supplier Relationship Management programs that focus on Quality, Productivity and Innovation.
Analyzes quotations received, selects or recommends suppliers, and schedules deliveries.
Assists the plants in following up to expedite delivery and shipment.
Checks and approves invoices to maintain necessary records and files for efficient
