Job description, responsibilities and duties

This position provides expertise in the program allocation of product and program launch plans. The Launch Manager serves as the launch expert and acts as the champion within the production organizations and works in tandem with Central Project Management to manage the launch processes to ensure successful launch that meets time and revenue targets.
Key responsibilities include:
• Review all kind of capacity management activities of launch
programs at plant level (e.g. the amount of direct and indirect
workers, equipment or shift plans).
• Conducting Readiness Audits according internal regulations
• Deducting actions needed from ramp-up specifications given by the
General Manager Central Production Management
• Optimizing ramp-up and run-down costs (e.g. in calculating whether
it is better to train the employees before launch of production or
within)
• If necessary coordinating ramp-up support by other productions
sites (e.g. in sending experienced staff)
• Cooperation with SEBN- Program Management
• Reporting to board of directors, Program Management and Quality

• Academic background (engineering or economics)
• At least five years of experience in automotive business
• Minimum three years as head of a production site or production
department
• Project planning (APICS- or IPMA-Certificate)
• Willingness to travel
• Leadership and intercultural skills
• Good command of English language
