Schneider Electric Regional Execution Platform (REP) is looking for an experienced Digital Protections Application Design Senior Engineer

Location & commitments:

• Full-time job in Bratislava, Slovakia, or Hybrid

Your responsibilities will be:

• Design and commission of IED protection parameters (logic, communication, protection Settings) for complex technical projects within Europe and South America Region.
• To understand and implement LV/MV protection setting
• Participates in protection relays testing in factory or on-site
• Develop complex Logic functions inside IED to comply with client needs
• Implement communication IED descriptions (CID files) for communication with internal and external SCADA systems
• Apply relevant standards, tools, procedures, and best practices in this area
• Report on commercial and technical aspects

Our requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Solid experience in electrical distribution and project business
• Advanced knowledge of SE IED portfolio, communication protocols, and power metering relays
• Advanced knowledge of communication protocols (IEC61850, Modbus, OPC, Profibus, DNP3, IEC103, etc.)
• Confirmed experience about GOOSE (Generic Object Oriented Substation Event) signals
• Proficient in IEC & IEEE standards, protection system operation, and IED configuration tools
• Willingness to travel (50% in EMEAS Region)
• EU passport and driving license (B)
