Job position purpose
The VRS Manager is profit and loss responsible for the optimization of all processes related to defining of parts assortment, development and sales of Vehicle Related Services and parts within the business unit. The VRS manager should continuously develop the business and promote the VRS assortment towards dealers and support dealers when starting up. A person within this role should also analyse the local market and have close cooperation with the central VRS organization and exchange information regarding needed assortment, market trends and target prices.
Responsible for:
• Start up, implement and develop the VRS business by creating new products, new services and partnerships that can contribute to increase VRS parts and VRS workshop sales within the business unit.
• Focus on developing the VRS sales by enthusiastically approaching external customers, body builders as well as being a part of the pre sales process.
• Continuously monitor and analyze market trends and activities recommending suitable actions to the management team as well as VRS central organization.
• Actively, together with the VRS organization develop and expand the VRS business as a long term commitment, while sharing good practices in order to support other markets with new developments.
• Accesory and branding products sales support through same tools as VRS product
• Active support, preparation and follow-up of local parts campaigns (VRS and Scania too)
Key activities
• Market the VRS assortment externally to existing and potential new customers, but also internally to the Business Unit.
• Ensure that relevant financial and statistical reports are complied, analyzed and presented to Business Support manager, determining what further actions are required for the business to reach target.
• Implement and market adapt existing price model for the VRS assortment and openly discuss margins.
• Analyse and communicate the total cost throughout the whole procurement process. When possible, always purchase from SPC.
• Support and control the internal customer in the purchasing process and actively promote and monitor the usage of agreed range of products and suppliers.
• Ensure that the appropriate resources as tools and parts at dealers are in place and that there is a structure at BU to provide technical support to the network and customers, strengthening the relationship with the After Sales area.
