Job description, responsibilities and duties

JOB OVERVIEW
The position is focused on technical aspects of data interfaces between Ariba Cloud Solutions and customer procurement solutions. The activities supported by this position include export of data from Ariba Cloud solutions or customer legacy solutions, data processing and data migration. These activities may be later extended to include supporting technical consulting activities such as customizations of Ariba On-Premises solutions and Ariba Cloud integration with customer ERP systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ariba Solution Focus
• Development and improvement of SW tools supporting data import/export and data processing activities
• Automation of data import/export and data processing task
• Automated validation of imported, exported or migrated data
• Coordination of data migration activities with Ariba deployment team
• Assist the customer with the installation and configuration of Ariba data migration and integration tools
• Assist the customer with data extraction from their existing systems
• GUI automation scripting for data import or export purposes
• Customization of Ariba On-Premises solutions
Customer Focus
• Active communication with the customer regarding the scope and delivery of the data export or data migration services
• Must be capable of supporting client relationships on daily basis with some manager assistance
• Must be able to work closely with the customer contact person in teleconference meetings

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• University degree in a related field
• Solid knowledge of Java SE language and API
• Knowledge of CSV, XML and Web Services
• Working knowledge of SQL queries
• Knowledge of JavaScript
• Consulting skills, including written/verbal communication in English and teamwork
• Working knowledge of English
• Minimal Travel required (up to 10%)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Understanding of web and network security standards and protocols (SSL, SSO, HTTPS, certificates)
• Experience with UNIX Shell and Windows command line scripting
• Experience in OO design of Java applications
• Experience with web frontend technologies (Javascript, HTML, CSS)
• Working knowledge of JQuery JavaScript library
• Other European languages are welcome (German/French/Italian/Spanish)
• Project management experience
