Job description, responsibilities and duties

The position is focused on the technical aspects of the integration of Ariba’s On-Demand and Cloud solutions with customers’ existing ERP or middleware systems. The Integration Consultant’s role is to provide consulting services to the customers’ ERP integration teams in order to support their integration activities with Ariba’s On-Demand solutions. As technical expert, Technical Consultant participates on the architecture decisions and supports deployment, configuration and testing of the master data and transactional data integration interfaces.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ariba Solution Focus
• Assist with various aspects of an Ariba On-Demand and Cloud implementation, mostly (but not limited to) solution architecture and external system integration
• Assist the customer with the installation and configuration of Ariba integration tools
• Assist the customer with master data extraction from their existing systems, ensuring adherence to master data specifications
• Assist the customer with the configuration and verification of transactional data channels (either file based, Web Services, CXML) ensuring adherence to the transactional interface specifications, and resulting in successful integration with Ariba On-Demand Solutions
• Willingness to travel

Customer Focus
• Must be capable of supporting the client relationship with some manager assistance
• Should be able to work closely with the client in meeting and exceeding their expectations for the projects they are supporting

Teamwork
• Act as a liaison between the customer ERP/middleware team and the other Ariba resources such as Technical Leads, Functional Lead and Ariba Technical Support.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

Required Qualifications:
• Strong consulting skills, including written/verbal communication in English and teamwork
• Fluency in English
• Experience with XML and Web Services
• Basic experience with middleware software (SAP Net Weaver PI, Tibco, IBM WebSphere, Boomi)
• Understanding of web and network security standards and protocols (SSL, SSO, HTTPS, certificates)
• Knowledge of SQL or PL/SQL
• Knowledge of object oriented programing language like Java is welcome


Preferred Qualifications:
• Business Process experience in the following areas: General Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Invoicing
• Experience integrating SAP Systems with non-SAP applications
• Knowledge of SAP modules related to Procurement and Invoicing (MM, FI)
• Ariba project experience
• Project management skills
• Other European languages are welcome (French/German/Italian/Spanish)
