Job description, responsibilities and duties

Due to the continued success of our flagship product, RSD GLASS®, we are now keen to add a talented and highly motivated Lead Architect to our technical team at our Bratislava Office. This is a key role to be part of growing our team and meeting challenges such as complex processing, distributed software and integration of high performance open sources.

The main objective for the Lead Architect is to design and develop the architecture of RSD GLASS® Products. The team is following best practices and enforcing Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design the distributed architecture of RSD GLASS® products for on premise and Cloud (SaaS) installation.
• Define and implement best practices for High Availability, Scalability, Performance, etc.
• Respect Agile methodologies to deliver code, with high standard of quality and test automation
• Support and collaborate with a team of experienced Java developers,
• Collaborate with others groups in Bratislava and Geneva such as Product Management, QA, support, etc.

Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Educational Specialization

Java architect, distributed architecture

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and Slovak - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• Minimum of 5 years expertise in Java/J2EE programming & Java Frameworks
• Expertise in distributed architecture, large volumes, ESB and Workflow
• Must have at least the equivalent of degree in computer science
• Highly motivated, autonomous, thought leadership, collaborative, easy to work with

Good experience in at least one of the domains:

• Web Services, SOA (REST, SOAP), application servers (Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere), Spring, Hibernate, Solr, ESB (Mule, Fuse), JMS, XML technologies, Lucene, Solr, ElasticSearch
• Security: Identity Provider, SAML, OAuth, LDAP
• Methodologies: Scrum, Continuous integration, TDD
• ECM: MS SharePoint, CMIS standard, Open Text LiveLink, EMC Documentum, IBM FileNet
• Cloud: AWS (ec2, S3, route53, VPC, etc.), virtualization, provisioning
