Red Hat is opening BI Team in Brno!

Job Summary:
The Red Hat Business Intelligence team is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join us in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you will design, develop, and test data solutions using ETL tools in an open and collaborative environment. You will also collaborate with Red Hat’s internal business departments to enable data-driven decisions for the company.

Primary job responsibilities:
- Add new data sources to our cloud-based data warehouse using ETL tools and custom connectors as needed
- Design and develop SQL-based views on our data warehouse to enable multi-source data­ analysis
- Build solutions using BusinessObjects and SAS Visual Analytics, or any open source tool for interfacing between source application and the enterprise data warehouse
- Perform unit tests and validate expected results; iterate on them until test conditions have passed
- Manage problem assessment, resolution, and documentation
- Modify existing universes to provide defect fixes
- Troubleshoot defects to determine the root cause
- Review code created by team members

Required Skills:
- 2+ years of demonstrated ETL development experience
- Record of building innovative solutions
- Understanding of the processes of data quality, data cleansing, and data transformation
- Advanced experience with SQL coding
- Extensive knowledge of data warehousing tools, patterns, and processes
- Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents
- Good coding skills according to published standards and design guidelines

The following are considered a plus:
- Experience with cloud computing platforms like Amazon Web Services
- Knowledge of columnar databases like Amazon Redshift
- Comfortable with ETL tools like Informatica, Informatica Cloud, or Pentaho
- Ability to visualize data in tools like Business Objects or SAS Visual Analytics
- Understanding of analytical vs. operational reporting
