Business Analyst

Purpose
The position will, under general supervision, assist in the creation, management and evolution of operational performance metrics dashboards and reporting for the RWE SPS team. The position will work with operational teams to refine metric dashboards and, where applicable, facilitate innovative solutions that meet the needs of the business.

Responsibilities
· Business performance dashboard development with a goal of simple user interface and effective data visualization
· Collaboration within and across Quintiles business units and IT to identify and adopt best practice solutions
· Analysis toward interpreting high level trends
· Provide internal customers, staff or stakeholders with projects, systems or technical support in line with project plans or initiatives.
· Identify data quality issues and support corrective action plans and preventive measures.
· Create, maintain and review system or process documentation and guidelines with guidance.
· Assist with system interface or process map specification requirements. May help with process documentation or communication activities.
· Participate in change initiatives; active change advocate.

Qualifications
Candidates must be comfortable with excel, PowerPoint, quantitative data, inputting data and be a solid and diligent networker (to interface with many groups to get data) and creatively analytical - Creative in how best to visually represent metrics and analytical in interpreting high level trends/insights.

Requirements
· Motivated self-starter that possesses fine-tuned analytical skills and be very detail oriented
· Excellent oral/written interpersonal skills; user focused. Strong technical and business writing skills.
· Strong ability to communicate technical and data concepts to non-technical audiences
· Flexibility, ability to learn, and ability to work independently as well as within in a collaborative team environment
· Ability to meet time deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities.
· Experience with Tibco Spotfire BI reporting tool is a strong plus; or alternative BI tools
· Experience in the Healthcare Industry with a regulated Life Science / Contract Research Organization (CRO) a strong plus
· Basic knowledge writing and executing SQL scripts is a plus
