Job description, responsibilities and duties

Pivotal leadership role in the EMEA Talent Acquisition team responsible for the optimization and delivery of the established sourcing team in Slovakia. Complete design and delivery of the regional sourcing strategy at QuintilesIMS.

The team is instrumental in building out a select pipeline of talent comprising (but not limited to) clinical research associates, project managers, biostaticians, analysts, market access specialists, regulatory affairs, consultancy, business development professionals and corporate staff.

The key focus of the position is to drive successful sourcing of candidates through the team. Additionally, the role will provide direction to the team to enable them to deliver a market leading candidate experience and ensuring a consistent approach to applicants as well as optimizing sourcing channels which have been identified as having the best return on investment. The role will continuously review focus and priorities to adapt to a frequently changing employment landscape and organisational demand.

Having strong stakeholder management skills and influencing skills will be crucial to this role as it will be essential to have a thorough understanding of the business environment and complexities. With limited guidance, provide expertise, support and advice on the recruiting process to assigned management teams either locally, regionally, globally or by function. With senior management, establish strategic goals and priorities and direct/oversee their delivery. Assist with establishing employer branding.

Responsibilities
• Work distribution/project assignment and workload management
• Manage a team of employees including recruiting, training, coaching, developing, and performance management and appraisals
• Install 'best in class' sourcing strategies which are customized to the business area.
• Have overview of local/global vendors (agencies), utilization of resources e.g. utilization of LinkedIn licenses and distribution across team, knowledge of existing local/international job boards in order to advise sourcers where, how to advertise/paid/free etc.
• Optimize current recruitment processes and practices to encourage positive outcomes and continually replenish the candidate pipeline based on market conditions
• Motivate and incentivize the sourcing team to encourage a high-performance, positive culture
• Be the sourcing subject matter expert in the team sharing experience and best practice live. Collaborate with legacy IMS team to expand the existing service to support the business
• Partner with HR specialist functions/Centers of Excellence to ensure delivery against strategic business imperatives and deliver solutions to meet business needs and have overview of redeployers as a source of potential hires
• Direct, manage regular evaluations of the applicant pool and assess, track and report on time to hire, cost to hire, diversity and quality of hires, to identify trends and cost effectiveness. Provide reports to senior management as required.
• Lead the implementation of the associated projects within HR and across the business, HR systems, practices, procedures and compliance.
• Provide management coaching and counseling to Talent Acquisition team and managers to effectively meet business line/region strategic staffing goals.
• Consult with business leaders and managers to gather data needed to improve policies and practices; recommend and implement enhancements to support a diverse workforce; ensure the team comply with local and regional hiring guidelines and procedures particularly for applicant tracking.
• Keep abreast of market trends and demand impacting the company’s ability to attract competitive candidates; serve as a critical management resource regarding such trends; coordinate with the compensation team on salary considerations and equity concerns.
• Support activities and initiatives associated with change management involving reorganizations, mergers/acquisitions and transfers to ensure compliance with local legislation.
• Ensure the provision of timely employee-related information to management teams as necessary.
• Provide advice, guidance and direct support on all aspects related to people management to senior management.
• Participate in monthly Quintiles Slovakia management meetings and actively participate, suggest new topics, changes in policies related to area of expertise and have understanding of local policies and be ready to support/drive local management changes

Minimum Education and Experience

• 7+ years recruitment agency or in-house recruitment experience with at least 5 years of line management experience
• Experience in sourcing channels including headhunting, social media and database
• Bachelor's degree or educational equivalent
• Fluent English
• Second European language advantageous
• Previous experience leading either recruiters or a sourcing team is essential either within an in-house environment or agency
• Experience operating with senior/executive management teams
