Job description, responsibilities and duties

PURPOSE
To manage overall operations of GDN-Advisory team to ensure that GDN delivers services that match BU’s expectations on PDQ and to provide capable leadership to launch a growth platform for GDN for Advisory services.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Have a mature and thorough understanding of individual and collective needs of Advisory teams
Establish a set of metrics that enable a daily operational oversight on GDN deliverables
Resolve day-to-day operational issues and ensure a consistently high level of performance in terms of productivity, timeliness and quality
Ensure that GDN team members are adequately trained and to effectively coordinate ongoing training efforts in collaboration with BU leads. Also to ensure that GDN has a pool of highly trained resources that can in turn train future new hires
Come up with measures to achieve efficient resource sharing to achieve high resource utilization, cross-learning and business continuity
Put appropriate risk-management practices in place to ensure business continuity and performance excellence
Participate in Operational Governance and important GDN related discussions at various stakeholder levels
Provide effective mentoring and leadership to the team that enables them to continuously improve performance and to collaborate effectively across GDN locations

University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Personality requirements and skills

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
At least 12 years of overall experience, of which at least 7-8 years in managing multi-functional, multi-locational teams with a proven leadership record
At least 5 years’ experience in the CRO industry
Excellent communication skills
Excellent cross-cultural sensitivity
Desirable
Experience working in a consulting environment

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A Masters degree, preferably MBA from a Tier 1 institution
A bachelors degree, preferably in Life Sciences

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech
Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers
Regular sitting for extended periods of time
Occasional travel
