Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

  • Design of test platforms for new products being introduced into production, this will include testing of subassemblies (AOI / ICT / Functional Testing / Programming, etc.) and finished goods (Functional Testing / Burn-in / Reliability / Safety, etc.).
  • Establish test strategies (test coverage report) and design for testing documents by new project, ensuring these documents are reviewed and approved by the necessary inputs and in compliance with existing test strategies.
  • Contribute to innovation of Power-One test capabilities by keeping up with latest trends and available technologies that can help automate testing, ensure test reliability and ensure lean practices have been carefully examined.
  • Other activities would include general core team support as a core team member or extended team member whether to make interim test equipment or write test routines to test early prototypes.
  • Develop and release documentation that cover procedures (i.e.: Test Instructions / DFT report / PFMEA / Lessons Learnt / Gage R&R / Inputs for Quality Plans / CPK / Test Coverage, etc.) or design documentation for new test equipment or tooling (i.e.: Schematics / PCB layouts / Mechanical Drawings, etc.)

  • 3y experience in Test Engineering position.
  • Understand background and purpose of test processes (HW/SW/Test Equip., etc).
  • Experienced Lean-Six sigma background and automation.
  • Cooperate with production and other departments in process of product transfers to different manufacturing locations.
  • Arrange prototype production to meet product specification.
  • Provide technical documentation for testing.
  • Specify and design test fixtures and equipment, HW and SW needed for production.
  • Cooperate with suppliers about new technologies and equipment in testing field.
