Job description, responsibilities and duties

The CSR is responsible for dealing with the order after the inside/outside sales person obtains the order. S/he is the first point of contact for both internal and external customers to resolves customer order related issues/queries, such as deliveries, expedites.

  • Processes sales orders - data entry, distribution of documents, etc.
  • Interfaces with reps, distributors, SAMs, and Regional Sales Managers to disseminate information and solve problems.
  • Resolves order scheduling issues with Master Scheduling.
  • Resolves finance queries with Finance department.
  • Performs various administrative tasks such as filing.
  • Handles special projects as assigned.
  • Manages quality returns and follow up with repair centres.
  • Understands and meets SOX and internal audit requirements.
  • Prepares monthly reporting to customers – backlog, shipments.

  • Good telephone manner (majority of daily work on telephone and computer).
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong computer and data base skills (Oracle experience preferable), order entry experience.
  • Preferable experience with a company who sells through manufacturing reps and distributors.
  • Able to attend global conference calls related to different time zones.
  • Works effectively under pressure. Gets things done – moves projects along and follows through; Displays a sense of urgency and possesses high energy.
  • Self-motivated, can work independently and maintain a positive attitude.
