Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
• Provide and lead technical support to the project teams and to the plants on the Injection system and tool design
• Update Tooling and Injection standards at PO division level
• Support Injection & Tooling development Engineer during development project
• Define cycle time and scrap rate + Injection molding machine clamp force
• Validate mould technical specifications with product line and tool purchasing support
• Lead the tool design stage and ensures a good communication with the toolmaker in order to ensure a simultaneous tool and product engineering
• Validate the tool design (sizing, kinematics, cooling, injection technology...) and ensure it guarantees the Plastic Omnium industrial requirements
• Validate the complete Injection system including mold flow analysis and gate design
• Propose technical solutions in order to ensure the continuous improvement in projects in terms of Cost, Lead time & Quality
• Support the Tooling and Injection Development Engineer in order to ensure a tool transfer and start of production in the plant in the best circumstances
• Take part to development and improvement of the technical specifications of the Injection system, tool design & standard
• Take care to be aware of the new technologies in injection & moulding field developed on the market (tool makers, components suppliers…)
• Can lead or be part of a task force in order to solve recurrent issues on injection & tooling that may involve several “métiers”
• Participate to the R&I development project
