Job description, responsibilities and duties
Mission:
Responsible for the quality for all suppliers of your Business Unit :
* Selection of suppliers,
* To ensure the effective and efficient quality management of suppliers in programs,
* To lead the improvement of serial supplier Quality Performance (product and service) across all commodities worldwide; through effective problem resolution and escalation processes.
Main Activities:
* Develop departmental strategic plans and develop budgets and plans based on performance, management reviews and business objectives
* Participate in Sourcing Committees, internal Purchasing Quality improvement meetings, departmental meetings, program milestones where Supplier risk has been previously identified.
* Identify, develop and approve new suppliers (together with Purchasing)
* Attend sourcing table events organized by Commodity purchasing to support best business practice sourcing decisions
* Evaluation of potential suppliers
* Manage the development of series suppliers: build and manage supplier progress plans in order to achieve PO commodity quality performance targets
* Evaluation of supplier performance in development and in serial life
* Ensure that Supplier PPAP management process is stable for each program and identify bottlenecks that require management attention
* Define competence development program based on tool, methods and best practice for Program SE’s and program management
* Develop and maintain a system of process KPI’s to monitor, track and improve the SE processes on programs
* Ensure an effective feedback of lessons learned into SE best practices for new programs, provide an annual SWOT analysis of the SE metier using lessons learned, internal audit results and supplier launch performance metrics
* People management /leading, training, coaching currently 5 people/
