Mission
Responsible for the quality for all suppliers of your Business Unit :
 Selection of suppliers,
 To ensure the effective and efficient quality management of suppliers in programs,
 To lead the improvement of serial supplier Quality Performance (product and service) across all commodities worldwide; through effective problem resolution and escalation processes.

Activities
STRATEGIC PLANNING AND BUDGETTING
- Develop departmental strategic plans and develop budgets and plans based on performance, management reviews and business objectives.
- Organizational alignment and optimization to achieve business objectives. Help assign SE to all programs from prototype through to SOP plus 3 months.
- Participate in Sourcing Committees, internal Purchasing Quality improvement meetings, departmental meetings, program milestones where Supplier risk has been previously identified.
- Report weekly and monthly the quality status.
Together with Purchasing, identify, develop and approve new suppliers to fulfill the defined commodity strategies and ensure Supplier readiness for Program nomination.
- Provide input to and support the commodity strategies process to enable an effective deployment .
- Ensure adequate preparation prior to sourcing table including technical feasibility reviews.
- Attend sourcing table events organized by Commodity purchasing to support best business practice sourcing decisions
- Provide motivated recommendations to the Sourcing Committee. Prevent incorrect sourcing decisions.
- Evaluation (audit) of potential suppliers, in accordance with POAE objectives and strategies.

Manage the development of series suppliers.
- Build and manage supplier progress plans in order to achieve PO commodity quality performance targets.
- Evaluation of supplier performance in development (with the inputs of project teams) and in serial life (with the support of plants), Manage the audits of suppliers when necessary.
- Manage escalation process effectively with poor performing suppliers at senior management level.
Manage the improvement of the supplier APQP process, integrate IS enablers)
- Define and maintain tools, methods and best practice for SE,s.
- Evaluate PAS and investigate option to reduce administrative workload
- Define, integrate lessons learned into the Supplier APQP process within OPTIMAP and OPTISUP
- Maintain effective Supplier APQP (SE) processes and competencies in POAE programs.
Support Green Non Event Launches by Suppliers
- Ensure that Supplier PPAP management process is stable for each program and identify bottlenecks that require management attention.
- Define competence development program based on tool, methods and best practice for Program SE’s and program management
- Ensure an effective feedback of lessons learned into new sourcing projects on programs.
- Ensure the effectiveness of the Supplier APQP and OPTISUP processes at delivering green launches.
- Begin the integration of Plant SQE in the PPAP evaluation process. (build trials, limit samples, capability convergence)
- Develop and maintain a system of process KPI’s to monitor, track and improve the SE processes on programs.
Drive the reduction of PPM, Demerits, NCN’s and CNQ.
- Cost recovery follow-up and lead negotiations of larger claims together with operational and purchasing management.
- Support projects teams and plants to maintain quality of supply in serial life and programs from prototypes through SOP+3 months.
- Make sure that communication and continuous improvement remains active between supplier and PO teams.
- Ensure an effective feedback of lessons learned into SE best practices for new programs. Provide an annual SWOT analysis of the SE metier using lessons learned, internal audit results and supplier launch performance metrics.

Automotive global requirements.

Language skills

Slovak - Advanced (C1) or Czech - Advanced (C1) or English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- 10 years experience in Automotive industry, Purchasing, Quality or program management or operations background
- min 3 years of previous managerial experience (or project management)
- communicative level of English language
- analytical thinking, technical skills, good communication skills, stress-resistant and dynamic personality
- driving licence
