Job description, responsibilities and duties

The JavaScript engineer will build dynamic interfaces for both internal and external systems. Candidates should know have deep knowledge of JavaScript and current best practices for development and maintenance. Knowledge of Backbone.js and RequireJS required.

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

Requirements
• 5-7 years experience in developing high availability, high volume web based applications using JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Expert knowledge of BackBone.js; some knowledge of other frameworks (Angular, Ember, Ampersand)
• Knowledge of the ever growing set of build tools and dependency managers (RequireJS/Grunt/Gulp/Browserify/WebPack)
• Strong HTML and CSS skills
• Experience debugging JavaScript issues across browsers and platforms
• Experience profiling JavaScript and optimizing for performance
• Experience unit testing using a framework (jasmine, QUnit, etc.)
• Knowledge and experience with web accessibility
• Great communication skills – written and spoken
• Ability to work as part of a team but also self-directed
• Strong knowledge of software engineering principles and best practices
• A passion for innovation and problem solving
• A love of what you do

It would be great if you also had:
• GitHub projects that demonstrate skills and interests
• Familiarity with IntelliJ, WebStorm or other IDE
• A sense of humor
