Job description, responsibilities and duties
The Operating Unit Responsible is in charge of the production of products, instrument clusters FOR HIS Operating Unit.
He supervises workers in manufacturing and related service operations.
Coordinates activities with other departments in a manner consistent with company policies and high standards of customer service. Exercise direct control over assigned workers.
Co-operates with employees and other supervisors to achieve plant objectives.
He guarantees the respect of the health norms on the workplace, industrial hygiene, environmental laws, and requirements of certification ISO 14000 and ISO TS.
Main duties and responsibilities:
• Analyses production schedule and assigns workload.
• Supervises employees in performing operations according to sound production methods and in accordance with schedules.
• Anticipates and determines causes of production delays and takes appropriate action.
• Reviews quality specifications for production items; ensures that components are used according to specifications.
• Develops a quality-consciousness and pride-of-workmanship amongst workers to assist in achieving quality objectives.
• Follows-up on operations to ensure that they are up to quality specifications and takes immediate corrective action to eliminate causes of any sub-standard work.
• Reviews Quality Assurance reports and complaints to correct causes of poor quality, and assists in developing preventive procedures.
• Completes shift production report.
• Applies Company employee and workers relations’ policies in all contacts with workers and collaborates in the development and application of programs for the solution of employee relations problems.
