- Develop cost savings improvement strategies in line with customers' objectives
- Create commodity strategies and provide guidance to buyers regarding the commodity strategies
- Look for new suppliers in Eastern Europe
- Support for design engineers in developing of new solutions
- Locates and manages nonstandard components for new projects
- Identify ongoing opportunities for better pricing, trading terms and operating process and systems
- Lead supplier selection and negotiations
- Build a strategy for categories which are locally managed
