Can you do Java? Come and try Scala!

Can you program in Java and you have heard something about Scala? How would you like becoming one of the few people in Slovakia who can work with Scala? Since there are so few Scalists in the country, we are looking for Javists who are keen on learning so that we can teach him Scala.

What do you have to know?
Java and JavaScript are key requirements.
Knowing at least bits of Scala would be a great advantage. We do not expect you to be an expert but if you have already done something in it, that would be great.
The big difference between us and the other large companies is that we utilize SCRUM, and we will expect you to do the same.
Furthermore, almost all our projects come from abroad, therefore, English is something you cannot live here without. Communication with clients world-wide is a daily routine here.

What will you do here?
Of course, you will write code. The rest is up to you and up to the fact if you get a junior or a senior position. The work is distributed based on the difficulty of the task and we believe in small teams. If the task is simple, it is completely up to you. You will do the analysis, design, write the code, and test it. If the task is more complex, the analysis and the solution is done in the team. If everything works, it needs to be moved to production, configured, and supported.

What you should be interested in:
Further knowledge you might find useful in this job include JavaScript, Client/Server architecture, web technology, SQL, JSP, XML, JSON, exJS, or GIT.

What do we expect from you?
Independence is a key. We will not spoon-feed you and this job is more for the kind of people who do not like others looking over their shoulder. Also, we will require a bit of perfectionism – since we do many open source projects, anybody can have a look at your code, so make sure that you have something to be proud of.

How high can you climb?
If you show knowledge in architecture, you can become an architect if you move to a senior or team leader position in JAVA. Our seniors are some of the best in the industry and they can teach you a lot.

How much you can earn is directly related to how much you know. Your paycheck grows with your skills. You can start as a developer and make your way up or we can hire you directly as an expert. If you are a good team leader, we can even hire you directly for this position.
Here is our salary ladder (gross):
SW Developer (junior) 1300€
SW Engineer 1500 - 2000 €
Senior SW Engineer 2000 - 2800 €

The salary range is given in EUR. The salary is divided into a fixed and variable part (the variable part is paid in full unless the Code of Conduct is broken or work tasks are not performed).
