Job description, responsibilities and duties

- Technical Support Engineer is responsible for fast accurate execution of disk replacement procedure within end-customer environment.
- Technical Support Engineer reacts to events displayed by Service Client trouble-ticket system software and follows prescribed remediation path (strictly following documented process) – creates technical support case with the vendor Support Centre to facilitate disk replacement.
- Technical Support Engineer communicates with external and internal support or operations teams to ensure that disks are replaced in timely fashion and in a cost efficient way.
- Technical Support Engineer is expected to follow documented escalation path in cases such as: high-risk situation for end-customer systems, unexpected situation arises or per end-customer request.
- Technical Support Engineer is expected to work 8-hour shifts during working days. Regular day shift (9AM-5PM), early morning shift (7AM-3PM) and late shift (2PM-10PM) in an agreed rotation with other members of the operations team.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1) or German - Intermediate (B1)

Personality requirements and skills

• University degree or relevant experience
• Customer service or international call center experience will be an advantage
• Customer-oriented attitude
• General understanding of basic technical troubleshooting and logical thinking.
• Experience in Windows or Linux OS administration.
• Experience with enterprise storage systems is definitely an advantage
• Fluency in English
• Fluency in German language is an advantage
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness or skills for a customer-oriented job
