Job description, responsibilities and duties

Within EUR Regional Data Center Management Role is accountable to cover key activities & duties linked Orange Point-Of-Presence (Colocation PoP) facilities.

Responsibilities

Act as regional PoC for Point-of-Presence (PoP) Sites in EUR region:

Internal Key stakeholders: General Services/HREE, Sourcing Commodity Buyer, Finance Controller, Finance Accounts Payable, Security & Audit team

Quarterly Review:

  • with HREE and GDO/P&I led by NIA - Interlock meeting to align on priorities, cascade decision, adopt forced closures with impact on region
  • with external vendors led by Sourcing – mainly covering and taking part as regional PoC for QBR meetings with Equinix, Digital Reality

External: cover Master Administrator role / User management Customer Portal (add/remove user, adjust privileges, audit users; approve exceptions)

Escalations: internal/external

Colo Budget Management (IGN):

  • deadline with August; data shared via xls spreadsheet to sum all the estimated costs for next Financial Year
  • submit OINIC Commitment Budget per Colo PoP


Strategical Projects - new SDN PoP's, DIS, extensions, rationalization:

  • cascade overall future strategy, expectations & timelines for future evolution towards key stakeholders incl. GCP


Service Order Inventory management

  • keep good interlock with Sourcing to analyze future cost increase/indexation, track & trace


Purchase Request/Order management:

  • order submission in procurement tool, close follow up to get approval at all managerial level
  • copy PO and communication to vendor
  • receipt to enable payment once service delivered


Monthly review:

  • Receipt creation in procurement tools
  • Invoice validation via MarkView & emails from Accounts Payable
  • Cost Control (e.g. in case of extra power consumption, finance reports shows discrepancies)
  • good understanding of assets, billed services; direct communication to correct owner in case of unclarities
  • Audit control/coordination


HREE / P&I Quarterly Review: Interlock to align on priorities, cascade decision, adopt forced closures with impact on region

  • We are looking for a cost & strategy oriented profile with can do attitude, quality & risk orientation with ability for continuous improvement are key qualities. We are more and more developing the virtual teaming in order to avoid the “silo mode” and to have the project managers involved early in project definition to secure correct assumptions are taken into account and ensure that execution against the plan is realistic.
  • All projects supported by the role have International scope and therefore require high efficiency, good communication & Project Management skills with decent knowledge of technologies.
  • You would interact with all key stakeholders and synchronize regularly based on agreement on activity/project prioritization. Respect internal Change Management rules and agreed WoW.
  • Your role is also to maintain overall awareness of planned & running projects within the region, including reporting/priorities communication via collaborative tools as Teams, Project tracking tools or SharePoint.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

  • University degree or equivalent experience in telecommunications
  • 5 years professional experience in international telecommunications business.
  • Project Management skills and/or certification (e.g: ITILv4, PMP, Prince2, …)
  • Agile Framework (Scrum Master or Scrum Product Owner)
  • Technical skills & good expertise on IP, SDN and Telecom platforms
  • Good Knowledge of Cisco Routers, Juniper, Nortel Passports (Cisco Certifications is a plus)
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, Another language is a plus.
  • Flexible, self-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure with the ability to take initiatives
  • Agile and capable to work in virtual team environment
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and MS Access. Understanding of Orange Business Services products and/or circuit provisioning tools (e.g. SESAM, OPAS, GINI, and FILEADE) is a plus
