Job description, responsibilities and duties
As a Senior Network Planner, you will be responsible for technically supporting Voice network routing and quality. You will be the technical referent across multiple entities in the organization (Engineering, Transition, Operation, Marketing) for optimizing routing and quality of Voice network that are in constant evolutions (All IP, Virtualization, Digitalization). Activities encompass offnet routings, network performance/quality of service, inbound cost optimizations, and processes while in parallel making sure the financial and quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met. You will be responsible to transform the actual way of working in order to match the new organization.
Perform complex technical designs and support network evolutions and optimizations including supporting architectural hardware changes, carrier interconnections additions/disconnects, and traffic migrations and implementations.
Support development and maintain voice offnet terminating routing tables/Master Dialing Plan (MDP) supporting the SONUS/NBI, ITALTEL&HUAWEI/NEO, ATOS/Hookah, ORACLE/SIP TRUNKING platforms.
Support technically the Quality of Service, Network Performance and the overall health of the network for voice services activities (the network quality statistics, assisting in fault resolution, and insuring all network quality KPIs are met).
Provide expert technical support for Core Voice Tools and other network systems and actively participate in the evolutions supporting the voice services.
Support the fraud management process by providing technical expertise to analyze penetration events, to block dialing ranges penetrated, and to calculate the resulting traffic volumes and costs.
Support technically the monitoring of network utilization of transmission interconnections and the proactive prevention of offnet/inbound traffic network congestion.
Collaborate with multiple entities on complex projects making sure all above missions are properly addressed and adapt to the organization in order to be highly responsive to the business.
