Job description, responsibilities and duties

Purpose:

• Provide technical support to OCB Business lead and service management architects to qualify opportunities and write proposal
• Lead solution high level design including capture of customer requirements and mapping of solution to address requirements
• Drive pre-sales HLD, customer presentations and represent Orange through all meetings reviewing the solution proposed
• Drive post sales High Level design
• Support rollout of OCB solutions through solution low level design and continuous support to project managers
• Perform billable consulting, proof of concept or pilot that will ensure closing of ongoing deals
• Ensure continuous improvement of Orange’s Managed IT Services portfolio and processes as the OCB technical counterpart to Orange engineering team


Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the writing of customer proposal which includes managed services and consulting efforts along with service management architect and solution architect
• Qualify customer opportunities: understand customer requirements through customer meetings and workshops. This task extends to the understanding of the overall customer IT infrastructure as well as business challenges and constraints. Acting as a technical architect, transferring customers’ requirements into a solution based on Orange’s products and services
• Support OCB sales opportunities as a technical subject matter expert of the local or European account management teams. Develop IT service business for Orange in Europe to identify potential opportunities and pipelines within account
• Positioning complex billable consulting work to facilitate progression towards or closure of a large Managed OCB Solution sale
• Lead high Level design of proposed solutions and potentially be part of solution delivery as owner of low level designs
• Provide support to OCB project managers during rollout
• Working with engineering team to finalize technical solution in the context of a specific project with extents to Orange product and managed services enhancements.
• Collect bricks of LLD and drive LLD(s) completion
• Provide marketing and competitive feedback on the potential for new or enhanced products and services.
• Facilitate local and global knowledge sharing and the effective leveraging of skills, knowledge and resources. This may include the development of solution bricks, white papers, templates, training material to ensure that other staff in Orange can re-use developed know-how.
• Remain personally up-to-date and ensure that the team remains up-to-date on relevant IT Services technologies and Orange products and services.

Personality requirements and skills

• Extensive IT consulting skills and ability to drive business: ability to independently write consulting proposals and contribute to global responses
• Possess both broad and deep technology knowledge and the ability to architect a solution by mapping a customer’s business problem to an end-to-end technology solution
• Experience in the design and build of new converged infrastructure architecture like VMware VBlock or NetApp FlexPod
• Strong and Thorough understanding of backup, Disaster Recovery components and procedures
• Demonstrated knowledge of advanced networking protocols and advanced network administration principles.
• Familiarity with intrusion detection systems, network security and network management and demonstrated knowledge of security appliances and best practices
• Understanding of ITIL concepts, in particular for Help Desk, Incident, and Problem Management and Datacenter/Server Operational Components (Monitoring, Management, etc.)
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams: operations, engineering, sales.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex IT language into “common” language for customers
• Field knowledge of storage (SAN/NAS) and server hardware (UCS, HP)
• Hands on experience in virtualization and knowledge of cloud automation softwares (VMware vSphere suite, HyperV and SCOM or equivalent a +)
• Hands on experience in Server OS with a strong Microsoft background (Linux, Solaris or AIX is a plus); Knowledge of Citrix related Technology
• Experience on Data Replication, Data protection and backup technologies (IBM, Oracle, EMC, VMWARE)
• Fluent in English including writing and presentation skills, German or French big plus
• Traveling in Europe is expected (up to 15%)
• ITIL foundation (Service design as a plus)
