Job description, responsibilities and duties
In that position you will champion, develop and implement property-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand’s target customer and property employees. You will be the one providing the financial expertise to enable the successful implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives while maximizing the return on investment. In addition, you will create and execute a business plan that is aligned with the property and brand’s business strategy and focuses on the execution of financial and accounting activities and the delivery of desirable financial results.
In a nutshell those will be your CORE WORK ACTIVITIES:
• Supporting the property strategy from a finance and accounting perspective
• Analyzing information, forecasts sales against expenses and creates annual budget plans and Ensures Profits and Losses are documented accurately
• Developing means to improve profit, including estimating cost and benefit, exploring new business opportunities
• Analyzing differences between actual budget wages and forecasted wages for more efficient budget planning
• Thinking creatively and practically to develop, execute and implement new business plans
• Protecting and strengthening our competitive advantage by advocating and supporting sound business and financial decision making
• Ensuring a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets, improve operations and profitability
• Implementing a system of appropriate controls to manage business risks
• Monitoring all taxes that apply, ensuring that taxes are current, collected and/or accrued
• Ensuring compliance with standard and local operating procedures (SOPs and LSOPs)
• Overseeing internal, external and regulatory audit processes
• Understanding the owners' perspective and ROI expectations and acting accordingly
• Advising the GM and executive committee on existing and evolving operating/financial issues

Your Skills and Experiences:
• At least 5 years’ experience in a Controlling department preferably in the hotel industry
• At least 2 years of managing and developing a team
• deep knowledge of the Slovak accounting and legal system
• Fluency in English is essential
