Job Purpose:

The FC&C Specialist will be responsible for supporting the FC&C Manager in ensuring compliance with Internal Controls over Financial Reporting, Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM) and SOX 404 requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with the Internal Controls over Financial Reporting, Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM) and SOX 404 requirements.
• Provide all required NFCM deliverables according to the communicated schedule.
• Participate in process walkthroughs as required/requested.
• Perform independent testing of controls.
• Support SOX 404 attestation processes. Business processes
• Understand business processes; review process documentation and have a good understanding of key risks and mitigating controls.
• Support implementation of standard processes as defined in the Finance Core.
• Support harmonization of processes and controls.
• Ensure understanding of the standard processes and controls related requirements. Internal & external audits
• Prepare and support for internal and external audits.
• Support and assist auditors.
• Track action items, including accurate and timely resolution of agreed actions.
• Ensure to be up-to-date on periodical changes on compliance requirements.
• Support ad hoc projects.
• Provide deliverables in line with deadlines.
• No unsatisfactory audit rating, no significant deficiencies/ material weaknesses.
• Timely and proper execution of other tasks.
