Job Purpose:

The P2P Purchase Order (PO) Compliance team is part of the P2P Solution Center, an integral component of the R2P department. The P2P PO Compliance Specialist investigates and approves purchase requisitions and ensures Novartis Procurement guidelines are adhered. The P2P PO Compliance Specialist makes tactical use of both accounts payable and procurement systems in order to proactively identify and resolve Novartis business user cases through to final resolution. This role requires a self-driven, resilient and motivated individual, with strong communication skills /intellectual curiosity, attention to details and knowledge of integrated finance and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide service at expected levels with a clear customer service approach.
  • Interacts proactively with all functional areas of the NGSC and business unit colleagues to ensure appropriate accounting, reporting and compliance are in line to expectation.
  • Manage and coordinate day-to-day activities ensuring deliverables meet end user and stakeholder expectations.
  • Accurate analysis and resolution delivery of Shopping Cart Requisitions.
  • Supports deliverables associated with other P2P and Procurement processes
  • Provide timely follow-up to both internal and external queries.
  • Support P2P Helpdesk by resolving open tickets within the expected turnaround time.
  • Support knowledge base of P2P team by participating/providing trainings and sharing of best practices within the team.
  • Support internal stakeholders community (BPA's, PO owners, Cost Center owners and entity management) with timely resolution of escalated queries.
  • Adherence to month end closing activities
  • Support in the upkeep of process documentation, policies and procedures which comply to the Novartis Procurement and Finance Core standards
  • Ensure compliance standards are in place and adhered in accordance to Novartis Finance Core, Novartis Accounting Manual (NAM), Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM) and regulatory requirements
  • Support towards a strong control environment with action of open audit issues and implementation of open corrective actions People:

  • Enable a collaborative environment whereas focus is placed toward contribution of process improvements and standardization through partnering
