Job description, responsibilities and duties

The project is for our client, a world leader in the design, supply and operation of integrated systems and Real Time Passenger Information systems for the transit industry providing solutions for all modes of transport and all types of fare media.

Duties :

•Set up and Configuration of new databases
•Review of SQL , PL/SQL scripts created by developers
•Set Up and Configuration of backup and archiving policy
•DB Restore and recovery
•Data export/import between DB instances
•Data Reduction on live databases

Requirements:

•Good understanding of SQL and PL/SQL
•PL/SQL tuning basic knowledge
•Very good understanding of relational database concepts
•4+ years of experience working with Oracle
•Experience in Oracle database administration
•Knowledge of RMAN scripts, Data Guard, Net Backup
•Linux fundamentals
