Job description, responsibilities and duties

Responsibilities of the consultant
1. Based on the design strategy for the knowledge platform and the inventory of project
documents made for sharing through the knowledge platform, edit and/or create suitable
content for the online knowledge platform.
2. Produce clean, easy to understand, and visually attractive materials and text for the webpage
based on the project documents as indicated in the content inventory.
3. Cooperate closely with the project owners in Habitat for Humanity and the vendor partner on
the structure and content.

Main deliverables:
Final text/content produced in English language for 2 national knowledge platforms (Bosnia & Herzegovina and Armenia) and one regional knowledge platform.
Timeline/level of effort: estimated full time, up to 2 months, starting as soon as possible.

Information about the selection process

Background:
Until December 2016, Habitat for Humanity International in cooperation with USAID through the REELIH (Residential Energy Efficiency for Low Income households) project aims to improve living standards in multi-unit apartment buildings in the Eurasia region. It focuses on developing a regional effort, resources and networks to address the impact of rising energy prices on collective housing. It will do so; first, through developing viable and sustainable models for selected multi-unit buildings in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Armenia.

One of the main purposes of the REELIH project is to establish/create an online space/knowledge platform, where visitors (HO – home owners/HOA – home owner associations) would be able to find all
the relevant as well as practical information on the residential energy efficiency in general and in particular in their country. It will also be a space, where experts discuss the problems of energy efficiency in the residential sector and share sector news and best practices.

Personality requirements and skills

- At least three years of experience with online content management and creation, in particular training materials.
- Familiarity with non-profit sector on a local and/or regional level
- Online content editing and writing
- Content management - Proven ability to manage online content production and flows
- Teamwork - Values working in collaboration and respecting the views of others; understands differences in culture
- Strong written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience working with non-profit sector and/or international organizations
- Some affinity with housing and/or residential energy efficiency would be an asset.
