The HR Business Lead is responsible for establishing and managing the Mondelez Busienss Shared Service Center HR needs and delivering against the strategies and programs as determined by the Global HR Centres of Excellence.

The job holder translates the global HR strategy into the people agenda for the Center in collaboration with the leadership team and the Global HR Business Lead. This means driving the people and Mondelez Business Services (MBS) business agenda in equal measure, ensuring consistency in our approach to deliver a compelling people agenda, driving a high performing work environment and a great place to work. Priorities include providing the right business insights to the leadership team and influencing and supporting the future direction of the business, coaching and developing the teams to enable the achievement of our goals through talented and engaged colleagues and a high customer service mentality.
The HR Business Lead plays a significant role in leading major change programs involving, among other things, culture and skill/capability building, drives consistent policy and process application and is responsible for ensuring flawless execution of all HR programs.

Main responsibilities of the role:

HR Framework
  • Defines local HR policies and processes in alignment with EU / Global / MBS policies and processes and in compliance with local legislation

HR department structure
  • In close cooperation with MBS determines an effective HR administration and information system and ensures proper administration (contracts, personnel files, necessary forms/documentation as well as legal orders) and record keeping.
  • Provide local management with data and trend analysis to support business decisions and fulfill reporting obligations.

Legal and Corporate Guideline
  • In conjunction with Legal, ensures that all activities are to the best knowledge and advice, within the context of current legislation, local regulations and company policies and that HR staff, both on-shore as well as off-shore, and the country organization adhere to the policies.

Labour Relations
  • Manages works council matters in terms of business based cooperation, cost and speed of decision process, restructuring projects as well as keeping labour law expertise to support management with up to date information concerning labour relations. Ensures proper labour relations on site.

HR Controlling
  • Following the defined Mondelez Systems and Tools, tracks and reports Head Count, Costs and HR metrics for the local teams in close cooperation with MBS and functional leadership / HRBLs.

Transformation
  • Supports programs for cost containment across the teams like restructure, downsizing or cost reduction. Leads separation process in cooperation with line management.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Communicates Mondelez Compensation&Benefits policies and practices in the country. While providing advice to local management ensures that salaries, expenses, relocation payments, expatriate remuneration and pension contributions are in accordance with the Company policy and statutory legislation. Ensures MBS team support and when needed assists in managing the Compensation&Benefits process.

Recruiting & Staffing
  • Works in close partnership with the Talent Acquisition teams to develop and implement a recruitment strategy to meet the local sourcing needs of the various functions, ensuring focus on speed of delivery, cost containment and high quality of talent sourcing.

Performance Management
  • Ensures that the Performance Planning process is implemented effectively and carried out at all levels of the organization. High performance standards and action plans are adhered to, in order to make performance management a key business process. Works closely with Line Managers where performance issues are raised and assists with performance management processes where poor performance requires action. Liaises with works council if needed.

Talent management & development
  • Advises functional leaders on the development of efficient organization structures and approaches by translating business strategies into workable and pragmatic solutions.
  • Implements and deploys a development framework to deliver a robust talent management process across the various teams. In close cooperation with the Mondelez Talent&Organizational Effectiveness team determines general trainings and workshops, development and talent management programs, in order to improve workforce effectiveness and succession management. Establishes strategies for future skill requirements and provides career growth opportunities for employees (on the job/off the job) as to create the conditions under which high performance and critical competencies are developed.

Change Management
  • Drives and facilitates change management by providing feedback, coaching and change management expertise based on organization needs.

Personality requirements and skills

  • Degree level education in a related area
  • 8-10 years of professional experience in HR
  • Experience of working in a Shared Service environment (desirable)
  • Broad HR functional expertise
  • Fluent in English - both written and spoken
  • Ability and openess to deal with complexity and ambiguity
  • Ability to engage, inspire, and influence people
  • Is credible: respected, admired and listened to
  • Is active: offers a point of view, takes a position, challenges assumptions
