The EBSC is an efficient and innovative shared service provider of high level quality accounting and controlling services to its customers. It was established to harmonize and centralize a serving of accounting services the Europe and the Middle East and Africa region, currently to 26 countries within those regions.

Senior Financial Analyst Cashflow Planning role is accountable to:
  • Provide analytical support to the Controller Asset Management MEU, and the Director Financial Controlling MEU as required, by supporting planning and actual processes for the MEU Region.
  • Gather all Cash Flow planning relevant information from key stakeholders and lead the system submission for MEU region.
  • Reviewing and analysing the financial data before submissions to MEU and consequently to the HQ in US and supporting the ad hoc analysis requested by region management.
  • Provide decision making support and standardized reporting on inventories to the ISC organization in the MEU region.

The key responsibilities:
  • Prepare input schedules and coordinate the collection process of all planning related Cash Flow information.
  • Plan centrally provided lines autonomously.
  • Consolidate MEU Regions input and prepare commentaries, both in planning and actual processes.
  • Maintain strong communication links with the US-GAAP- and Financial Controlling teams (in country and HQ).
  • Perform Region Hyperion submissions and provide the necessary system support to HQ.
  • Prepare monthly standard reporting for Free Cash Flow and Balance Sheet and run specific systems for inventory reporting for MEU.
  • Make recommendations to Controller Asset Management for improvements to planning processes/timetable or improvements in modeling/analytical tools for using more efficient techniques.
  • Know the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position; lead ethically and model compliant behaviour; maintain an environment where employees can speak up without fear of retaliation; ensure employees in area of responsibility understand the compliance responsibilities of their jobs and actively participate in the compliance program.

Personality requirements and skills

Required:
1. Strong understanding of all major Finance processes
2. Solid understanding of both US GAAP and Accounting Policies
3. Highly organized and able to successfully manage multiple priorities and assignments
4. Working in a highly complex and dynamic environment; ability to handle complexity and transform complex causalities to understandable structures
5. High level of numerical and analytical skills and attention to detail
6. Highly self-motivated and able to work remotely with minimum supervision
7. Ability to work effectively and under pressure to meet deadlines in an international dynamic environment
8. An experienced team player, bringing enthusiasm and energy into group efforts
9. Strong Interpersonal and Communication skills (oral and written) and strong ability to build relationship within organization
10. Actively encourage and support the development and learning of self, direct reports and others
11. Good systems skills (FIT/HFM)
12. Work experience within financial reporting or broad-based accounting experience
13. Fluent in English - both written and spoken

Preferred:
1. University Degree in Economics / Accounting / Finance is preferred
2. Strong understanding of business efficiency measurement techniques
3. Understanding of Mondelēz International business
4. Strong understanding and knowledge of the Shared Service Centre model and Client Relationship Management
5. Proactive and resourceful in solving problems, offering innovative and practical solutions in dynamic environment; strategic thinking
6. Focus on business improvement and ambitions for excellence, constantly search for opportunities to improve the business in dynamic environment
7. Strong Customer Service orientation; Liaising with Senior Leadership and Project Leads
8. Strong MS Office skills in particular Excel, PowerPoint
9. Practical experience in Asset Management, FP&A either in BU or Operations, Treasury, with strong systems orientation
