Job description, responsibilities and duties
- Develops advanced data visualizations to deliver analytic-driven insights and creates compelling visual stories that unlock new value in our markets, content, operations and brands
- Functions as an interpreter or an intermediary, identifying data needs and explaining the importance and use of the data applicable to them
- Works with report developers and modelers to gather, document, and design data integration and data visualization requirements for projects ranging from small to enterprise size
- Uses data preparation and visualization tools to rapidly generate interactive visualizations
- Optimizes performance of dashboard design decisions on data sources
- Extracts, transforms, and loads data from an extremely wide field of data sources into staging data sets and ultimately into visualization tools
- Develops, maintains, and communicates data architecture plans to all stakeholders for alignment of people, business process, information and technology
- Critical relationships required with the following internal & external individuals/organizations:
• Internal
o Peers within the Global IS Center of Excellence and other team members within the broader IS and Mondelez Business Services organizations
• External
o Peer Companies to facilitate networking, benchmarking, and collaboration on best practices
o IS Strategic Partners as required for staff augmentation, strategic counsel, niche skill requirements

Tools/Methods:
Skills & Abilities:
- Experience connecting to and querying data from MySQL, Microsoft SQL, HANA, SAP BW, Hadoop (Hive) or similar databases is required
- Experience with data preparation and blending for visualization and statistical modeling using tools such as Alteryx, Datawatch, Paxata, Datameer. Alteryx experience is preferred
- Experience with interactive interface design, web design, and mobile application design are a strong plus
- Experience and ability to retrieve, shape, and integrate data sources
Skills & Abilities:
- Creative and curious visual organizer with a drive to distill understanding down to the essential actions that are needed
- Passion for finding insights in data and data visualization to answer complex business questions
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills demonstrating an ability to "tell a story"
- Ability to understand how business processes and behavior shapes data in source systems
- Ability to translate needs expressed by a business user into requirements for a useable analysis and visualization
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working with large, multi-dimensional data sets (data manipulation and analysis)
- Intermediate to advanced skills with desktop visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI, SAP Lumira, Tableau software and Microsoft Excel
- Intermediate to advanced skills in data preparation for visualization and statistical modeling
