Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Provide accurate and timely financial statements and related analyses, both internal and external, in line with applicable regulatory and corporate requirements and in close interaction with Mondelez shared service center
Monitor and pre-analyze P&L and B/S of European Services- and Procurement entities and request explanations for major developments and flag errors / adjustment needs
Execute and coordinate statutory year-end consolidation of Mondelez Services- and Procurement branches
Assist in the management and coordination of annual statutory audits and governmental tax audits on occurrence and prepare/provide the necessary documentation
Support country/local financial accounting teams in regional reporting requirements (e.g. quarterly Management Representation letter)
Support country/local financial accounting teams in questions about regional accounting policies and best practice (e.g. investment valuation, goodwill accounting, chart of accounts).
Support Finance projects (pending on scale) in relation to acquisitions/divestitures, restructuring , system amendments/extensions, process improvements / simplification / harmonization, and general Finance transformation

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

Knowledge of Finance, Accounting, Reporting, Financial Controlling, Consolidation and/or cost control principles
Solid understanding of transactional systems (SAP, FiT/HFM reporting systems)
Good understanding of EOC Processes and mechanics of different accounting standards (i.e. US GAAP vs. Local GAAP)
Well organised with good analytical and reporting skills
Good interpersonal and communication skills. Team player.
Proven track record of self-management and time management. Proven drive for results.
Ability to produce quality within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
3-5 years working in accounting, finance, and/or controlling of a large multi-national company.
Fluent in English (other MEU language preferable)
