Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

* Manage day to day US GAAP activities for the assigned country within the team of Accountants
* Key contact for the country local management and a first point of reference for common accounting needs/queries. Coordinate communication with other related EBSC departments.
* Supervise team of accountants, provide training and motivate. * Drives customer and partnership focused approach for the team and ensures team members acquire necessary skills and performance attributes.
* Monitor team’s performance via KPIs and ensure team performance is in line with pre-defined KPIs
* Supervise monthly and annual closing activities for the assigned country/countries and coordinate closing activities with other related departments (AP, Intercompany etc., local). Lead regular monthly reviews with the local organization, define action plans for identified issues and proactively participate in their follow up and resolution.
* Supervise timely and accurate preparation of regular management reporting for assigned country/group of countries and initiate the review with the local management
* Review and approve Balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all high standard of the quality of the reconciliations are met.
* Support the US GAAP Manager in the internal and external audit activities, maintaining high level of controls related to the general accounting activities for the assigned country/group of countries, identify management action plan for any deficiencies and lead its implementation
* Supervise the implementation of US GAAP continuous and simplification improvement initiatives and accounting practices

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Other knowledge

SAP - Advanced
Microsoft Excel - Advanced

Personality requirements and skills

* General accounting knowledge advanced
* US GAAP knowledge advanced and good understanding of SOX requirements related to financial accounting processes
* University degree in Economics/Accounting
* Customer oriented
* Outstanding Interpersonal and communication skills
* Action and results oriented
* Excellent managerial skills
* Ability to work effectively in an international and complex environment
* Previous experience in General Accounting for min 4 years
* Previous experience in Managerial position for min 2 years
* Previous experience in Share service organization
* Experience with SAP system on advanced level
* Fluent English at proficient level (C2)
