Job description, responsibilities and duties

Your main responsibilities will be:

Reporting to the Manager Logistic Operations Development MEU, the Manager Supply Network Design MEU will improve business results by applying analytical modelling and analysis skills against various supply chain problems. In this role, you will be responsible for providing analytical support to the various projects and business units within the region. This role utilizes mathematical & network modelling as well as decision analysis methods to drive sound, fact-based business decisions on product and material sourcing, distribution network design and inventory analysis. All of this is done within the context of, and consistent with, the overall strategic direction for the supply chain design. You will play an active role in continuing to seek out new methods to apply to overall supply network improvements and will collaborate with your peer group in other regions.

Among the business outcomes and business capabilities that you will support is the: analysis of various distribution network alternatives, evaluation of rapid changes in the region’s supply network footprint, analysis of alternatives to determine the cash, cost and service impacts, and dynamic sourcing to leverage existing supply networks

Personality requirements and skills

What do you need to be successful?

To be successful in this role you will bring experience across the areas of Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or similar. You will need to have the knowledge of tools used to conduct network analysis and supply chain modelling using commercial modelling software package(s) such as LlamaSoft Supply Chain Guru, IBM Logic Net, Insight SAILS, JDA supply chain strategist. You will be competent in spreadsheet modelling. And will also need the additional technical experience in mathematical and/or simulation modelling, inventory theory, decision analysis, location analysis and forecasting. You will have demonstrated leadership in applying new techniques to get actionable insights from data and will be able to present findings clearly, concisely, and in a compelling way.
