Why does the role exist?
The Business Planning Manager (BPM) is responsible for driving business excellence and cross-Subsidiary effectiveness by creating and orchestrating processes across all business groups within a Subsidiary on behalf of the Marketing and Operations organization (M&O). The BPM drives key decisions in overall Subsidiary-level business & marketing planning and governance, and provides business insight that enable cohesive strategic and share oriented decisions. Through measurement and metrics, the BPM provides increased transparency across all groups. The BPM provides increased integration and alignment across the business by supporting:the cross-Subsidiary planning, measurement & review of business operations & accountability, subsidiary scorecard reviews, and growth & share discussions.

How does the role add value?
The Business Planning Manager (BPM) role has responsibilities in four key areas: Business & Marketing Planning, Governance, Business Insights and Marketing Operations, as follows:

Business & Marketing Planning:
Leads business and marketing planning processes across the subsidiary as follows:
o FY Planning (ie annual planning): Works with teams across the Subsidiary to develop a planning process for landing revenue, share and scorecard targets within the resource allocations resulting in a plan that will drive success in the next fiscal year.
o Growth Planning: Creates process and prepare teams to determine the growth requirements and opportunities to achieve fiscal year targets.
o Marketing Planning: Works with marketing leadership and individual contributors across the Subsidiary to continually refine the marketing execution process.

Business & Marketing Governance:
o Governs key operational processes such as fiscal year planning (Subsidiary Business Planning Process), Mid Year Review (MYR), Rhythm of the Business processes (ROB).
o Develops and drives a process for keeping the FY Plan alive throughout the year.
o Drives all-up integration of Subsidiary business management and governance via sustained marketing planning and prioritization through Marketing insights.
o Leads and drives quarterly financial accountability.
o Leads and manages the Subsidiary Scorecard and Correction or Error (COE) process through the Rhythm of the Business (ROB).

Business Insights, Growth & Share Framework:
o Provides relevant business insights and knowledge across the Subsidiary through Marketing Intelligence data & analysis
o Supports marketing metrics reporting to achieve consistent evaluation of marketing impact.
o Supports M&O in business priorities and tradeoffs, as well as market-making investments to drive growth and share discussions.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

Slovak - Proficiency (C2) and English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Driving licence

B

Personality requirements and skills

5 years of relevant experience; Demonstrated strength/ excellence in:
• Candidates must have at least 3 years of practical experience in marketing, business development, and program or product management, or finance
• Very structured, process-oriented, able to adjust or build system that fits business and internal environment
• Experience in working with/ across large and complex organizations; ability to collaborate internally with people across subsidiary and build strong, lasting business relationships; conflict resolution and negotiation skills
• Analytic thinking with attention to detail, ability to understand customer and market trends
• Ability to anticipate challenges early enough to correct for success. Project management and implementation experience that involves non-reporting stakeholders
• Ability to connect pragmatic operational issues with the strategic “big picture”
• Able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Self motivated, able to work independently
• Passion for systems and processes that are effective and run efficiently. Drive for results in the face of obstacles; pro-active
• Advanced oral and written communication skills
