MACH Program

What is MACH?
The Microsoft Academy for College Hires (MACH) is as an accelerated career development program designed to recruit and hire top-performing graduates across a broad range of roles, and aims to cultivate your talent utilizing training, mentoring, and community support.

• You will be immediately placed in a challenging role with specific learning roadmaps;
• The MACH Program continues for 18-24 months from the time of hire (depending on start date and region);
• At the end of the program, MACH employees join the MACH Alumni community.

Solutions Sales Specialist, Devices

Why does the Windows Devices Solution Sales Professional (SSP) role exist?
Devices are critical as Microsoft’s transitions into a “Mobile First and Cloud First” company. As part of this transformation, Microsoft created a Windows Device sales role to land in subsidiaries worldwide. These Windows Device SSPs are an elite team responsible for selling Windows mobile devices in our Enterprise accounts and driving Microsoft’s transition to becoming a leading supplier of devices in the Enterprise.

How does the Windows Device SSP role add value?
The Windows Device SSP role adds value by:
• Competing on every tablet & phone opportunity and beating the competition with Windows Devices;
• Selling both tablets and phone units with the goal of becoming the leading supplier of tablets and phones to Enterprise customers;
• Proactively developing and closing a healthy pipeline of qualified device selling opportunities;
• Working with account team members, partners, application developers/design agencies, and/or services to drive unit wins of tablets & phones, and expanding sales opportunities to sell Microsoft business productivity, management and cloud services;
• Providing solution sales leadership to ensure customer infrastructure is ‘Windows 10 ready’ as a way to increase the adoption and penetration of Windows devices within Enterprise;
• Working with the Account Technology Strategist (ATS) during Account Planning to develop customer profiles relative to devices, applications and mobility for enterprise customers;
• Identifying and pursuing competitive iPad and Android opportunities within Enterprise accounts;
• Ensuring handoff to and engagement with other local resources (such as Account Managers, Account Technical Specialists, Technical Sales Professionals, OEM partners) at the appropriate phase of the Microsoft Solution Selling Process;
• Delivering Microsoft’s Mobility story to customers and securing their agreement on the Windows devices and applications required for a given solution;
• Contributing to the engagement and readiness of local partners;
• Owning delivery of mobility strategy conversations to IT- and Business Decision Makers to identify opportunities.

How is the Windows Device SSP role unique from other roles?
The Windows Device SSP role is unique given:
• Its focus on selling Windows devices (tablet & phone) in our Enterprise accounts;
• Its focus on selling Windows devices to Business Decision Makers in enterprise accounts;
• Its in-depth knowledge of the enterprise mobile device strategies required to successfully sell Windows devices vs. the competition;
• Its focus on articulating and demonstrating a cohesive and differentiated mobility value proposition using Windows devices, applications and mobility solutions;
• Its ability to leverage a non-traditional set of selling partners to enable their Windows devices and solutions to compete in the mobility device space.

Qualifications and requirements

• Pursuing or within one year of graduation from University (2015 or 2016 graduate – Bachelor, Specialist or Master Degree);
• Degree in computer science/IT or related technical discipline (ie math, engineering) will be an advantage;
• Entrepreneurial mindset&spirit;
• Working experience as entrepreneur will be an plus; working experience in sales/technical/consulting roles will be an advantage as well;
• Passion for devices and mobile technologies;
• Creativity; sales ‘hunter’ & ‘builder’ mindset focused on finding new sales opportunities in accounts not known today;
• Knowledge of Microsoft products (with focus on devices) will be a plus;
• Knowledge of competitor products will be an advantage;
• Strong commercial business acumen;
• Good understanding of the relationship between technology and business;
• Excellent communication, negotiations and cross-group collaboration skills;
• Ability to build strong relations with Business and Technical Decision Makers and to become trusted advisor for them;
• Time-management and multi-tasking skills;
• Self-motivation;
• Thriving in a fast paced, ambiguous environment;
• Passion for driving results and seeing projects through to completion;
• Is a resourceful problem-solver, leveraging internal and partner resources where and when needed to do what’s right for the customer and for the organization;
• Fluent Slovak and English;
• Able to work full-time starting from September 2015;
• Most important is the willingness to gain new skills and learn further.
